Bring the whole family out for an exciting and educational experience at Majestic View Nature Center in Arvada, Colorado. This hands-on family navigation class is designed to teach essential outdoor navigation skills that are fun, practical, and easy to learn—perfect for parents and kids alike.
In this 3-hour session, expert instructor Hutch will guide your family through the basics of navigating in the wild, helping you feel confident whether you’re out for a short hike or planning a bigger backcountry adventure.
This class is ideal for beginners and families who want to be more self-reliant outdoors, stay safe on the trail, and build essential map and compass skills—all while spending meaningful time together.

This Navigation Workshop is NOT at our primary location near Cripple Creek. It will be held at Majestic View Nature Center in Arvada, Colorado at 7030 Garrison St, Arvada, CO 80004.
